In the year 2081 everything seemed to be fixed, everything that was wrong with society seemed to be no more. But the problem with this arguable utopian future was that there is nothing perfect about it, and worst of all everything that makes us human was covered and put to shame. The fact that we are all different makes us humans and separates us from any other creatures that inhabit this earth. In this future our individuality is taken from us, and if they are considered "special" they are to cover it. Conceal our virtues and be equal, on for them (Handicapper General) the best way to do that's is to torture those who were born different. Either it is smarter, stronger, wiser or beautiful being different is an unfair advantage. The "equality" that Kurt Vonnegut Jr describes in his short story is far from justice. This system is denying anyone to become their own person and find their own path. This form of government is inhumane and does not take people's feelings into consideration. The character Harrison has a very complex personality for his day of age, while others in his society accept the punishments put upon them he refuses them and rebels. In my opinion the actions he took when interrupting the ballet performance with him trying to awaken something in the viewers. I don't know why I never expected him to walk out of it alive, more like proving his view with the only thing that can awaken sympathy in others death. He knew that it was live and he took advantage of this to broadcast his anarchism. Harrison almost accomplished this too, with his father but with the device that impelled him to overthink the senecio, it almost seemed as if his sons efforts did not work.
